Music Makes My World Go Round...

... Not actually true but it certainly seems to help.

I have somewhat of an ecclectic music taste, although most people seem to state that nowadays, and although it is reasonably mainstream I take interest in less popular artists both new and old. The last ten records I bought (or acquired) are:

• John Mayer- Heavier Things
• Belle And Sebastian- if You're Feeling Sinister
• Idioteque- Umbra Hydra (LP)
• Marvin Gaye- Best Of
• Lionel Ritchie- Can't Slow Down (12 inch)
• The Decemberists- Castaways And Cutouts
• Bright Eyes- Digital Ash In A Digital Urn
• Red Hot Chili Peppers- Stadium Arcadium

At the moment i'm mostly listening to Needle Bed and Ben Fold's Rockin' The Suburbs and i'd thoroughly recommend both. My favourite song from Needle Bed is probably 'Gone Gone Gone'. It reminds me of Bright Eyes- soft and mellow, with a hint of fear and anger in the vocals.
In other music related news; i'm finally going to see Brand New!! After several years of bad luck in trying to seem them i've got tickets for them in Cardiff in feburary, can't wait!! Brand New are my all time second favourite artist (after Radiohead duhhhh!) and it's going to be awesome!
